What is Citizen Science?
Citizen Science (CS) involves non-professionals in scientific research, from collecting data to contributing to large-scale environmental studies. It turns learning into action, empowering individuals to tackle issues like climate change and biodiversity loss.
In the IL4SH project, CS enables students and their families to collaborate, blending traditional knowledge and modern tools, such as smartphone apps, to monitor air quality, reduce waste, or track biodiversity.
